VinGrate Shower Mats

DESIGN:
VinGrate is our premium shower mat. Solid vinyl treads with flat surface on the top are packed just ¼ inch apart resulting in large surface area and making these runners very comfortable on bare feet. Top threads have a gentle ribbed texture adding traction along the treads and further reducing risk of a slip-fall accident. Top treads are fused to black color treads on the bottom made of the same material. Bottom treads touching the floor are spaced out 1 inch apart for ultimate drainage. Manufacturing process includes an additional step where bottom treads are hot-pressed and shaped into a wave on the side that will be touching the floor. This wave design allows multi-directional draining of water across the bottom of these shower mats. Such dense duckboard design and threads being solid results in the 1.1 pound weight per square foot (almost 5.4 kg per square meter), making larger pieces very stable on any surfaces due to the weight. This material has tested well in direct sunlight and this is one of few products on the market that will hold up well when exposed to ultraviolet. We would still recommend choosing lighter colors when purchasing mats to be used in outside showers, boats, marinas and alike.

CUSTOMIZATION:
Max Size LENGTH:
We stock this shower matting in 3 and 4 feet-feet-wide rolls that are 33 feet long. Sometime in 2023 we are planing to switch to 40-foot-long rolls. So maximum length of a runner is limited to the length of the full roll. Given that VinGrate weights over a pound per square foot, full 4-foot-wide rolls would be too heavy to ship UPS or FedEx due to the maximum weight limits and would have to be shipped on a a truck.
Max Size WIDTH:
If your facility calls for a shower/locker room mat that is wider than 4 feet (the widest roll), we do have “E-Clips” that would connect and hold together matting sections placed side-by-side. To achieve good connection and seamless look E-clips should be placed every 10 to 12 inches.

Custom shapes: We sell only rectangular mats. However these runners are fairly easy to cut with a utility knife (use only solid blades, no breakaway blades). As long as the blade is new and mat is in room temperature, you will not have a problem cutting it. If in doubt, purchase pieces slightly larger than you think you need and just trim it on-site to fit in your shower or accommodate fixtures and/or pipes.

Colors:
We stock this product in 4 colors – blue, gray, black and tan. We can special-order pretty much any color but there would be 3 roll minimum and a potentially a very long lead time. We import 2-3 containers per year from this factory so lead time would depend what stage of the order we are in at that particular time.


MAINTENANCE:
To clean these shower mats you can use any solution/chemical that you use to clean your showers with. On harder to remove stains / residue you may need to use a stiff brush. These mats can be washed with pressure washer. If using a pressure washer that is capable of higher than 1500 PSI – keep the nozzle at least 12 inches away from the mat.
