VinTube Drainage Mats

DESIGN:
More densely packed hollow vinyl tubes welded/glued on the top of perpendicular hollow tubes on the bottom made of the same material. Open-tube duckboard design facilitates easy water drainage away from the surface while smooth tubes are comfortable to stand on even with bare feet. Top layer is raised about 1/4 of an inch above the floor, this allows for good airflow that speeds up water evaporation from under the rug. Factors that make this open-tube duckboard design durable (compared to similar product that offered by competition) are:

1. Proper materials to prevent disintegration even in the direct sunlight. Drainage mats are often used in outside showers, next to swimming pools, swimming pool decks and other places outside where they are exposed to UV rays. Unlike similar design pool mats sold by our competitors VinTube is made out of materials that are perfect for outside use. These mats will serve you for several years before starting to show signs of deterioration. If not exposed to direct sunlight they may serve you decades.
2. 0.9 pound per square foot weight calls for good adhesion between top and bottom tubes so the mat would not come apart when moving. It may seem obvious that a mat has to be glued well, unfortunately this was not the case with several factories we attempted to source this product from. We were fortunate to finally find the place that makes superior quality product. Even though this material costs us a bit more than it used to – we have not had any issues with the durability of it.

CUSTOMIZATION:
We stock this matting in 4 and 3-foot-wide rolls that are 33 feet long (we may be switching to 40-foot-rolls soon). Standard colors are blue, black, gray and tan. We also try to keep a small quantity of green and red VinTube matting. So size is limited by the largest roll available. Please be advised that this product weights nearly a pound per square foot so very large pieces may be difficult to move around . Good thing is that these draining mats are easy to cut with a utility knife. If doubt it is always better to order slightly larger piece and have it cut down on-site.

MAINTENANCE:
PVC that has a smooth surface and that makes it easy to clean. Being non porous the material is resistant to stains and in itself does not promote growth of bacteria or fungi making this mat ideal for use in wet areas where excessive drainage is a must. Rinsing in weak bleach solution usually gets the job done. If additional cleaning is needed – any cleaning solution made for showers and a brush should do. Our VinTube can also be washed with a pressure washer. Use common sense when using pressure washers capable generating over 1500 PSI.
