138 Uptown Entrance Matting is a great addition to any entrance way that has heavy foot traffic or even minimal traffic. It is threaded with 40 ounces of Delcalon every nine square feet for maximum drying and scrapping power. High/low pile carpet in a loop pattern retains moisture and debris for later clean up; material dries shoes quickly keeping your main floors as dry and free of debris as possible. Material is made of Delcalon which is a higher denier polypropylene yarn that holds its structure and appearance under constant heavy foot traffic. Decalon also has an exceptionally fast drying time, making it a perfect choice for indoor entrance ways. Uptown is available in six bright color options in a variety of sizes. Choose a standard manufacture size that ships out about a week from ordering or have a custom mat made to your needs in 3ft, 4ft or 6ft widths up to 60ft in length. Backing is made of a non-slip vinyl sheet that will not move and its colors correspond to each mat.
Recommended for any high traffic entrance way, lobby, long aisle or walkways for a scraper, as well as a catch all for debris and moisture - All while holding its structure, bright color, and great look. Using NoTrax 138 Uptown on its own will more than suffice but if you are after an upscale drying/scrapping system, let us recommended using 138 Uptown with 139 Boulevard. Maintenance is a breeze also, as mats are easily rolled up for moving, cleaning, or storage. Manufacturers suggestions on cleaning is below.
Uptown Entrance Mats (NoTrax products) have been independently tested in the following conditions yielding positive results.
• Flammability (ASTM D2859, CPSC FF 1-70) Measuring the mats response as an ignition source within a controlled environment. To pass, the un-charred area must be greater than one inch. Uptown Mat Results were 3.5 Inches; Note - Passes Federal Flammability Study (DOC FF 1-70.)
• Water Retention: Sample piece was submerged for five minutes in water, removed - drained for fifteen seconds and weighed. Measured in/for weight gain (gallons per square yard) with results of .992.
• Accelerated Soiling (ASTM D6540-00): for a predetermined length of time the test piece was subjected to an accelerated soiling process. The sample was vacuumed – rated – submitted to an extraction device and then rated again. Results were based on a visually inspection – vacuum rating of 4; 5 Rating after Extraction.
• Accelerated Wear ASTM D5252-98a: A Hexapod tumble drum test. 4,000 cycles conducted to asses for appearance and color change. Results were a Appearance rating - 3.0 Color change rating - 3.5.
